It courses through our veins. At least 60% they say. Surrounding our being, a source of life, a playground for stingrays and surfers alike. Bathsheba celebrates our waters by mimicking its picturesque nature - above and below surface. It all starts with the headpiece: a captivating cluster of gems representing starfish, sea glass and other treasures found under the sea.
These precious stones are also “caught” in the fish net stockings and running along the mesh body wear. Homage is paid to beautiful sea fans found on our shores - appearing as a main feature of the neck piece and dotted throughout the creation. The frenetic flow of the surf is referenced in the costume’s sleeves and the frills of its frontline back pack.
From rock pools to sea sprays, the blues of Bathsheba convey a coolness in calamity. It’s a salute to the flow that surrounds our people, and our land, with unsurmountable blessings.
